So I started "walking" last year (2010) because I got inspired by my cousin Beth after seeing her pics from her Avon Breast Cancer Awareness Walk from 2009. I participated in the Walk in Santa Barbara Sept. 11-12th. It was 39.3 miles long over the 2 days, and trust me, that is no easy feet. I did well at it with no blisters at all, but my thighs did burn. I learned I need to stretch much more then what I did. So I can't even calculate how much I walked since November of 2009, but I know I did at least a couple 100 miles throughout the year as well as some bike riding. My 4 year old daughter even joined me on some of my walking adventures. Well, I decided to take advantage of the sun yesterday (1/9/11) and venture on a walk on the "new" part of the Sacramento River Trail here in Redding, Ca. I took, my now, 5 yr old daughter and our 8 mo old jack russel terrier and wow was it beautiful yesterday!!! Lots of other people with there familes and pets had the same idea I did. Now mind you, it was 55* at 2 pm but it felt great to get some sun!! I'm just posting a few pics here today, but there will definitely be more in the future, since I am participating in the Breast Cancer walk again this year.

Well thanks for visiting my page today, I'm planning on getting recipes up here soon!! See you soon. :-)
